Meet the Guillotine. Solar's Type H is a headless, multiscale travel guitar built to cut rhythm, leads and heads clean off — a compact, no-frills shred machine that punches well above its size and price.
The Type H runs a 24.75"–25.5" multiscale (fanned-fret) layout, so each string sits at its own optimal length for tighter, clearer lows and a more natural feel across the neck. Going headless with a rear-tuning multiscale bridge and headless locking nut strips the weight and length off the top end, making this one of the most travel-friendly serious guitars Solar builds.
A pair of Solar Modern Alnico 5 Multiscale humbuckers — wound and angled specifically for the fanned frets — give you tight, punchy high-gain tone with a musical top end. A 3-way blade switch covers neck, bridge and both.
A bolt-on maple neck with the C Solar profile carries a purpleheart fingerboard, 24 nickel frets and a 14" radius that suits fast riffing and bends alike. The basswood body keeps the whole thing light and resonant, tuned to E standard and finished in stealth Carbon Black Matte with white side dots.
