The main piano is sampled from the Yamaha CFX concert grand, with Virtual Resonance Modelling adding the sympathetic ring of the strings and body. The 88-note GHS action is heavier in the bass and lighter in the treble, with five touch settings from Soft2 to Hard2, and 256-note polyphony means nothing drops out under the sustain pedal.

263 styles with Smart Chord and Unison and Accent

Pick from 263 accompaniment styles and the band follows your left hand. Fingering modes run from Single Finger and Smart Chord for newer players through to AI Full Keyboard for those who play real voicings. Each style has an intro, four main variations, a break, an ending and a Simple mode, and 50 of them support Unison and Accent, which makes the band hit stabs with you. Style Creator lets you build your own.

Mic input, Bluetooth audio and USB recording

Plug a microphone into the standard mono jack and sing with effects over the band. Stream backing tracks from a phone over Bluetooth audio or the stereo mini aux input, and use Vocal Cancel and Time Stretch to practise along with them. The USB audio interface runs at 44.1 kHz, 16-bit stereo, so you can record straight into a computer or a USB stick.

Score and lyrics on screen, 100 songs to learn

The display shows notation, lyrics and text files, in English, German, French, Spanish or Italian. There are 100 preset songs to learn with the lesson functions, and the Piano Room sets up a piano-and-room combination quickly. Registration buttons store whole panel setups and a playlist orders them for a gig.

Speakers, pedals and stand included

Two 6 W amplifiers drive two 12 cm and two 5 cm speakers, with Intelligent Acoustic Control balancing the sound at low volume and the Stereophonic Optimizer doing the same for headphones. The LP1B triple pedal unit connects to the dedicated pedal socket, and an aux pedal jack takes a second controller. Transpose runs plus or minus 12 semitones, tuning from 414.8 to 466.8 Hz, and auto power off is built in.
