Yamaha NTX1 Nylon-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar - Brown Sunburst is a nylon-string built around the way electric and steel-string players already hold a guitar: 48mm nut, curved fingerboard, thin body, SYSTEM73 preamp. Nut, radius and scale

A 48mm nut with 10.6mm string spacing makes chord shapes and barres feel close to a wide steel-string rather than a full classical. The walnut fingerboard is radiused at R600mm, and the scale is 650mm. Nato neck, matt finish.

Thin body, stage weight

Body depth is 80 to 90mm and width 384mm, so it hangs close on a strap and doesn't fight your picking arm. The body is 490mm long with an overall length of 1026mm. Strap buttons come fitted.

Solid Sitka spruce, nato or okume body

The solid Sitka spruce top sits on nato or okume back and sides. The bridge is ebony and walnut with no pins, and the soundhole is ringed in mahogany and padauk. Chrome tuners with matt black shafts suit the darker finish.

SYSTEM73: volume, EQ, mid sweep, tuner

SYSTEM73 carries volume, a three-band EQ, an adjustable mid frequency and a built-in tuner. The mid sweep is the control you'll use most, pulling out the frequencies that howl when a nylon-string gets loud. Line out to your amp or DI.
