About this product
Overview & specifications
Orange Series guitars are made using all of Furch’s key technologies with maximum attention to detail. The soundboard of these instruments consists of high-grade AAA Sitka spruce, the back and sides are from either Indian rosewood or black walnut. This material combination gives the Orange Series guitars a strong and dynamic sound, the properties of which are further enhanced by Furch’s proprietary soundboard voicing process. Our unique Full-Pore High-Gloss Finish, which improves each guitar’s resonance, also has an extremely positive effect on sound. The unique look of the Orange Series is underscored by a host of decorative elements, foremost a pearl fingerboard inlay and contrasting maple body, fingerboard and headstock binding, which stand out beautifully on a dimly-lit stage. The purfling and the rosette, however, are decorated with a discreet but exclusive strip of Redheart wood. Orange Series guitars are delivered in a highly durable Hiscox thermally insulated case.
Since its introduction in 1916, the Dreadnought has become the most popular and most widely known acoustic guitar in history. Thanks to its large body, a Dreadnought guitar has a deep dynamic sound, which translates into a versatile instrument that can be used for a multitude of music styles, ranging from bluegrass and fingerpicking to solo performances.

The Orange SW is a top-quality instrument made from premium tonewoods. The soundboard is made from high-grade Sitka spruce, and the back and sides feature black walnut. Appointments are crafted from redheart. Body binding is made from American maple with an added thin contrasting line, and the fingerboard is adorned by flower-shaped pearl inlays. High-grade tonewoods and exclusive appointments translate into fine sounding instrument with stunning look. Protected by Full-Pore High-Gloss Finish, the Orange SW produces a rich musical sound with highly pleasing mids and clear highs
Unique voicing process
The premium nature of the Orange SW is underscored by the fact that the soundboard is individually tuned using the voicing process, which enhances the guitar’s tonal properties to the highest level. Thanks to that, the Orange SW has a crystalline clear, harmonically rich, balanced, and highly dynamic sound across the entire tonal spectrum.
Exceptional finish
The instrument is protected by our proprietary Full-Pore High-Gloss Finish, which has been developed to enhance the guitar’s tonal qualities. The finish consists of an ultrathin layer of highly resistant lacquer that provides excellent surface protection and accentuates the structure of the wood at the same time.
Attractive look
The attractive look of the Orange SW is underscored by body, fingerboard and headstock binding made from American maple with a black contrasting line, and a top adorned by redheart purfling with black and white line.
Furch CNR System® Neck Design
A high precision, dual-action truss rod maintains neck stability and allows for fine adjustment of the neck relief, bilaterally. The truss rod is housed in a highly rigid carbon casing which enables a very smooth and controlled neck relief, ensuring the best playability and enduring optimal setup.
- A fully adjustable dual-action truss rod for highly precise adjustment of the neck bow in both the convex and concave directions.
- A highly rigid carbon casing that maintains the neck in the set position over a period much longer than is the case with standard neck joint designs and, at the same time, facilitates a gradual bow in the neck, a factor of essential importance for playability.
- A casting made of special alloy located inside the neck heel that ensures a stable position of the neck and its angle vis-à-vis the body.
Rosette made from redheart
The soundhole is adorned by a rosette featuring a bold redheart ring with a contrasting black and white line.
Pearl fingerboard inlays
Black side position dots combined with flower-shaped pearl fingerboard inlays improve fingerboard orientation and enhance the guitar’s exclusive appearance.
Excellent machine heads
The Orange SW has an excellent tuning stability courtesy of Gotoh 510 Silver Patina machine heads with polished ebony buttons and a highly precise 1:21 gear ratio.
