About this product
Overview & specifications
The Yamaha Pacifica PAC112J is the guitar that teachers recommend and players keep. Alder body, bolt-on maple neck, HSS pickups with a five-way switch and a vintage-style tremolo, built and set up to a standard that most first guitars never reach. This one wears the Yellow Natural Satin finish, which shows the alder grain through a thin satin coat.
HSS with a five-way switch
A ceramic humbucker at the bridge handles rock and blues drive, while the two Alnico V single coils at the neck and middle deliver the clean, chiming sounds the Pacifica is known for. The five-way lever switch runs through the classic in-between positions, and master volume and tone keep it simple.
Vintage tremolo, modern neck
The vintage-style tremolo with block saddles gives you subtle vibrato without throwing the tuning out, backed by die-cast tuners. The maple neck carries a rosewood or walnut fingerboard with 22 medium frets on a 350 mm radius, and a 41 mm nut that suits smaller hands and beginners.
Built to last past the first year
Pacificas have a reputation for staying in tune and staying playable, which is why so many of them are still on stages twenty years on. Strung 9 to 42 from the factory, with a single-ply white pickguard.
Set up in-store by Guitar World Australia's techs before it ships to you, so it plays perfectly the moment it arrives.
