Katana Artist Head Gen 3 supports up to two speaker cabs to meet all performance needs. Carefully constructed and loaded with dual Waza speakers, the robust Katana Cabinet 212 Waza is perfectly tuned to maximize the head’s full potential. These custom BOSS speakers deliver the true character and response of the famous ’60s 25-watt British stack speaker with modern power handling capacity. Cabinets can be stacked to create a 4x12 setup, and the versatile design features a removable panel for closed-back or open-back sound.
Tube Logic replicates tube circuitry and its complex interactions at a component level, giving you the coveted tone and feel of classic tube amps. The Katana Artist Head Gen 3 features six amp characters, including the new Pushed character, each with a selectable variation for a total of 12 distinctive tones. The Bloom switch introduces a dedicated circuit that enhances the amp's feel with a sharper attack and rich, dynamic low-end response, perfect for any playing style.

The Katana Artist Head Gen 3 includes five simultaneous effect categories from the BOSS library: Booster, Mod, FX, Delay, and Reverb. Each category offers three variations, providing access to 15 unique effects. There’s also a dedicated Solo section with a level boost and delay effect. Customize these effects using BOSS Tone Studio, which unlocks 60 different effect types and deep editing options. The optional Bluetooth® Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor enables wireless editing via the BTS app on your smartphone.

The Katana Artist Head Gen 3 offers powerful tools for modern performers. Eight Tone Setting memories store complete amp/effect setups, accessible via rear-panel jacks for footswitches, expression pedals, and MIDI. The GA-FC and GA-FC EX Foot Controllers provide extensive stage control, allowing access to additional Tone Settings, effects, and expression pedal integration.
Link two amps using the Stereo Expand function for master control from the main amp and stereo effects distribution. Alternatively, connect to the Power Amp In jack to use the reactive Class AB power section to amplify a modeler or external preamp. The Katana Artist Head Gen 3 supports various connectivity needs, including headphone practice, PA system feed, and USB recording with IR-based cabinet sound.
