Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in selecting the right products based on their needs.
- Provide product knowledge and demonstrations to customers.
- Handle point of sales and process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Perform daily duties such as stock replenishment, cleaning the store, and merchandising.
- Delegate tasks to sales staff and ensure team productivity.
- Supervise, mentor, and train sales associates.
- Address and resolve employee issues and conflicts.
- Handle complex customer service issues and escalations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
- Manage stock and inventory control.
- Conduct regular stock takes and manage inventory discrepancies.
- Reorder stock as needed to ensure adequate inventory levels.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance.
- Set sales targets and motivate the team to achieve them.
- Implement sales strategies and promotional activities.
- Assist in daily store operations and ensure the store meets its financial and operational goals.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Balance the till and manage financial transactions.
- Collaborate on marketing strategies and promotional campaigns.
- Coordinate and support store events and activities.
- Generate and analyze sales reports.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve store performance.
- Identify training needs and coordinate training sessions.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements:
- Retail sales experience required (minimum 1 year).
- Music retail experience preferred but not necessary.
- Ability to help musicians find the right product for their needs.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work Saturdays.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to motivate and support team members.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Permanent Part-Time Retail Sales Associate
Location: Guitar World Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia
Are you passionate about music and helping others find the perfect instrument? We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Guitar World Gold Coast!
In this role, you will be working directly with customers, ranging from beginners to experienced musicians, to help them find their ideal guitar or music production equipment. Our store offers a wide range of products, including high-end guitars, PA systems, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to all clients, guiding them through their purchase journey
- Assist customers in selecting guitars, music production equipment, and PA systems
- Work effectively within a team environment to ensure a smooth and enjoyable customer experience
- Perform guitar repairs and setups (advantageous but not essential)
Requirements:
- Minimum 12 months of experience in music retail
- Strong customer service skills and a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Must be available to work Saturdays
- Guitar repair and setup experience is an advantage but not required
