After recognizing a trend among musicians to enhance their acoustic guitars with electric pickups, Cole Clark introduced a dual output acoustic guitar with built-in humbuckers in 2019. The success of these models spurred further development, culminating in three groundbreaking new models in the True Hybrid series.
Each model in the True Hybrid series features a sleek thinline design, equipped with the world-class Cole Clark PG3 acoustic pickup and an independent electric output. Guitarists can choose from configurations including two humbuckers, three single coils, or a mix of humbucker and single coils, ensuring versatile performance capabilities.
The True Hybrid guitars are engineered for exceptional balance between acoustic and electric tones, without any compromise on either. A unique challenge addressed by Cole Clark's electronics expert, Paul Gale, was the differential in volume produced by phosphor bronze strings on magnetic pickups. Gale's innovative solution, now patent pending, perfectly balances the sound for phosphor bronze strings, a breakthrough in hybrid guitar technology.
