Epiphone Billie Joe Armstrong Les Paul Junior Electric Guitar – Radiant Red

One P-90 PRO doing all the work

A single dogear Epiphone P-90 PRO sits at the bridge and carries the entire instrument. Wound hot for a single coil, it slams a big, midrange-forward signal into a cranked amp and bites hard the second you dig in, then cleans up and chimes when you roll the volume back. Master volume and master tone controls run on CTS potentiometers, so the sweep stays smooth and usable end to end — on a Junior, most of your shaping happens with the volume knob and where you place your picking hand.

The Junior formula, untouched

A slab of mahogany with one cutaway, a mahogany neck glued into it, a black pickguard, and nothing else in the way. No carved top, no second pickup to blend, no switch to think about. All that mahogany mass sits directly under the bridge, which is precisely why a Junior barks the way it does and why players keep coming back to a design this stripped back.

A genuine 50s neck

The Vintage 50s profile is a proper handful — rounded and substantial, the sort of neck that gives your thumb something to push against through a set of barre chords. It carries a rosewood fingerboard with a 12" radius, 22 medium jumbo frets and pearloid dots, topped by a Graph Tech nut that holds tuning when you lean on the strings. The 24.75" scale keeps string tension relaxed, so bends come easily and the whole thing feels forgiving under the hand.

Lightning Bar wraparound bridge

The strings anchor on a Lightning Bar wraparound in nickel plating, bolted straight into the body with no stopbar or studs between it and the mahogany. That direct mounting is where the Junior's sustain and physical resonance come from, and the bar is compensated so intonation stays accurate right across the six strings. Epiphone Vintage Deluxe tuners on the Kalamazoo-style headstock look after the other end.

Radiant Red, signed on the back

Radiant Red is a bright, high-gloss finish that reads unmissable under stage lights and photographs even louder. Black plastics, black top hat knobs and the black pickguard keep the contrast sharp against nickel hardware, and Billie Joe Armstrong's signature is reproduced in black across the rear of the headstock. This colour is a limited run — when they are gone, they are gone.
