The PRS CE 24 in Faded Blue Smokeburst is PRS's USA-built bolt-on: the classic mahogany-back, maple-top double-cut with a bolt-on maple neck for extra snap and sparkle. The faded blue finish smokes out to a darker edge around the body, and the whole guitar is finished in nitro, high gloss on the body and satin on the neck.

PRS first offered the CE in 1988 for players who wanted the quick, percussive attack of a bolt-on neck with PRS craftsmanship and comfort. The CE 24 keeps the familiar carved maple top over a mahogany back, so you get warmth and body, while the bolt-on joint adds a bright, lively edge to every note.

Pattern Thin neck in satin nitro

The scarfed maple neck is carved to PRS's Pattern Thin profile, a slim, fast shape that still fills the hand, and the satin nitro finish feels smooth and natural rather than sticky. The rosewood fretboard has a 10" radius, 24 frets and PRS bird inlays, on a 25" scale that keeps bends easy all the way up the neck.

85/15 pickups and six sounds

The PRS 85/15 humbuckers are voiced for clarity, with a tight low end and an open top that keeps chords defined even under gain. A three-way toggle selects the pickups, and pulling up the tone control splits both humbuckers, giving six useful sounds from punchy rock to bright, spanky cleans. PRS's patented tremolo and Phase III locking tuners keep tuning steady through vibrato work.
