The PRS SE NF 53 in Pearl White is PRS's take on the classic slab-bodied bolt-on: a swamp ash body, a bolt-on maple neck with a maple fretboard, and a pair of Narrowfield pickups that bring the snap and twang without the hum. Pearl White with a black pickguard is a crisp, timeless combination.
Swamp ash gives the NF 53 a lively, resonant body with plenty of attack, and the bolt-on maple neck adds extra snap to every note. The 25.5" scale keeps the strings taut for that bright, cutting response, and the maple board with bird inlays has a 10" radius that suits both chords and lead work.
PRS's Narrowfield DD ("Deep Dish") pickups use taller bobbins with extra steel between the magnets, which gives them a focused, punchy voice while staying quiet like a humbucker. That makes the NF 53 equally happy playing clean chicken-pickin' or a driven rock rhythm, and you won't fight noise when you add gain.
Brass barrel saddles on a steel plate bridge add sparkle and sustain. The controls are simple: one volume knob, one tone knob and a three-way blade for bridge, both, or neck.
It comes with PRS Classic 10-46 strings and a PRS gig bag. Set up in-store by Guitar World Australia's techs before it ships to you, so it plays perfectly the moment it arrives.
