Yamaha Gigmaker Level Up Electric Guitar Package - Lake Placid Blue

The Yamaha Gigmaker Level Up Electric Guitar Package - Lake Placid Blue puts a real Pacifica 112J and the Line 6 Spider V 20 MkII modelling combo in one box, with a strap, cable, clip-on tuner, spare strings and picks alongside. It is the pack we point new players to when they ask what will still be worth owning in five years. Lake Placid Blue is a classic finish that looks the part on stage and under bedroom lights.

Alder body, maple neck, 22 medium frets

The 112J is a full-scale electric, not a cut-down beginner model. A 25.5-inch (648 mm) scale on a bolt-on maple neck gives clear note definition and standard string feel, and the alder body is a familiar shape that sits well on a strap. The rosewood or walnut fingerboard carries 22 medium frets over a 13.75-inch (350 mm) radius, flat enough for bends without choking and rounded enough for comfortable chords.

Three pickups and a five-way switch

A ceramic humbucker at the bridge handles the heavy work, with two ceramic single coils in the neck and middle spots for cleaner, brighter sounds. The 5-position lever switch selects any one of them or the blended positions, so you can cover blues, pop, metal and everything between on one guitar. Master volume and master tone controls keep the layout simple.

Slim neck, easy first chords

The neck is 41 mm wide at the nut and 51.4 mm at the 12th fret, and just 20.9 mm deep at the first fret, growing to 22.9 mm at the 12th. That slim profile is why the Pacifica has a reputation as a guitar that does not fight you. Light 0.009 to 0.042 strings, a urea nut and 10.5 mm string spacing at the bridge keep fretting and picking easy.

Vintage-style tremolo and covered tuners

A vintage-style tremolo bridge adds shimmer and dips to chords, and covered tuning machines hold pitch while keeping dust out of the gears. The one-ply white pickguard against Lake Placid Blue is a look guitarists have loved for decades.

Line 6 Spider V 20 MkII and the accessories

The Line 6 Spider V 20 MkII combo is a serious first amp rather than a throwaway practice box, and it is ready to go straight out of the carton. The pack also includes a clip-on tuner, a strap, an instrument cable, picks and a set of strings. Add a chair and a song to learn and you are away.

Set up and ready

Set up in-store by Guitar World Australia's techs before it ships to you. We check the neck relief, string height and intonation on the 112J so the first chords ring clean instead of buzzing, then pack the amp and accessories with it.
