A coating you won't notice

Plenty of coated strings buy their long life with a soft polymer sleeve that takes the edge off the top end and feels slippery under the fingers. DR's K3 is different: a micro-thin, hard clear layer bonded to the wrap wire, so the string still moves freely and keeps its brightness and attack. It shuts out the sweat, skin oil and grime that corrode a set from the inside, and because it is clear, the strings look like ordinary nickel on the fretboard. Clean, crunch or high gain, you get a lively set that simply lasts.

Round core, nickel wrap, medium gauge

Dragon Skin is wound on a round core wire instead of the more common hex core, for a precise, focused attack, and wrapped in nickel-plated steel for a bright, versatile voice that suits single coils and humbuckers alike. The 10-46 gauge is the all-rounder: .010, .013 and .017 plain, with .026, .036 and .046 wound.
