How to claim your cashback

  1. Buy your guitar. Purchase any new Gibson or Epiphone stringed instrument from Guitar World Australia between 1 May and 30 June 2026.
  2. Wait for delivery. Your guitar must be delivered and received before you can submit your claim.
  3. Keep your tax invoice. Your order confirmation from guitar.com.au counts as a valid tax invoice — hang onto it.
  4. Submit your claim. Lodge your claim through the official Gibson Australia redemption page by 11:59pm AEST on 7 July 2026, with your tax invoice attached.
  5. Get paid. Once approved, your cashback is issued as a digital prepaid card within 30–60 days.

Do I claim the cashback through Guitar World?

No — the cashback is administered by Gibson's Australian distributor, Australis Music Group. You submit your claim directly through the official Gibson cashback page using your Guitar World tax invoice. We'll send you the link with your order confirmation too.

How long does the cashback take to arrive?

Approved claims are processed and paid within 30–60 days from the date of approval, issued as a digital corporate prepaid card sent to the email address on your claim.

Can I claim cashback on multiple guitars?

Yes. Each eligible guitar on your invoice qualifies for its own separate claim, based on the price of that individual instrument. Just submit a separate claim for each guitar.

What if I return my guitar?

Returning an eligible item for refund or exchange voids the cashback claim. This doesn't affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Is the cashback paid in cash?

The cashback is issued as a digital corporate prepaid card, not cash or store credit. The card can be used wherever Visa or Mastercard is accepted (depending on the issuer).


Terms & Conditions

Promoter: The Promoter is Sound Distribution Pty Ltd T/A Australis Music Group.

Promotion Period: The promotion is valid for eligible purchases made between 1 May 2026 and 30 June 2026 inclusive, from official Australian Gibson or Epiphone retailers. Claims must be submitted by 11:59pm AEST on 7 July 2026.

Eligible Products: This promotion applies only to new Gibson and Epiphone stringed instruments purchased from an official Australian Gibson or Epiphone retailer. The cashback amount is determined by the value of eligible Gibson and Epiphone guitars inclusive of GST listed on a tax invoice from an official Australian Gibson or Epiphone retailer. Products outside this category are not eligible. Values refer to individual items, not to the total purchase value. Purchases made via Studio 19 are not eligible. Eligible products should be paid for in cash or by credit card, with payment made in full. Purchases from JB Hi-Fi, Catch.com.au, Costco, eBay, Amazon, Kogan, MyDeal and KG Group are not eligible.

Eligibility Requirements: Purchases must be made through an official Australian Gibson or Epiphone retailer. Products must be fully paid and delivered before a cashback claim can be submitted. Pre-orders, backorders or undelivered goods are not eligible until delivered. Second-hand items are not eligible.

Proof of Purchase: A valid tax invoice is required to submit a claim. The tax invoice must clearly show: retailer name, purchase date, product description or model, and purchase price. The Promoter reserves the right to reject claims where proof of purchase is incomplete, altered, illegible or invalid.

Claim Process: To redeem cashback, claimants must purchase an eligible Gibson or Epiphone guitar during the promotion period, ensure the item has been delivered and received, submit a claim via the official online redemption form, upload a valid tax invoice as proof of purchase, and provide a valid email address (cashback cards are issued digitally). Incomplete, incorrect or illegible claims may be deemed invalid.

Cashback Payment: Approved cashback claims will be issued via digital Corporate Prepaid Card. Cashback payments will be processed within 30–60 days from the date the claim is approved. A confirmation email will be sent once the claim has been validated and acts as confirmation and receipt of the approved cashback claim. As cashback cards are issued digitally, a valid email address is required for claim processing. No cash, product, credit or other equivalent will be offered in lieu of the cashback. The Promoter is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect or incomplete information submitted by the claimant.

Claim Limits: Consumers are entitled to one (1) cashback claim per eligible item. If multiple eligible items are purchased, a separate cashback claim may be made for each eligible item, provided each claim complies with these Terms & Conditions. Qualifying spend is inclusive of GST.

General Conditions: Cashback is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. No equivalents will be offered. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of claims and reject claims that do not comply with these Terms & Conditions. The Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the promotion where required. Returning goods for exchange or refund voids any cashback claim — this does not affect your consumer guarantees. Claiming this cashback may affect the returns policy with your retailer.

Liability: To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter and associated agencies are not liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered in connection with this promotion or the cashback redemption process. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Privacy: Personal information collected in connection with this promotion will be used solely for the purpose of administering the promotion and processing cashback claims. Information may be shared only with service providers directly involved in administering the promotion, including the provider issuing the digital Corporate Prepaid Card. Personal information collected as part of this promotion will not be sold to third parties.
