Cordoba Stage Edge Burst Thinbody Nylon-String Electric Guitar

The Cordoba Stage Edge Burst is a nylon-string guitar built for the stage first: a slim, chambered body that feels like an electric, a neck that steel-string players will settle into straight away, and a pickup system Cordoba developed with Fishman. The flamed maple top in Edge Burst, glowing amber in the middle and darkening to the edges, makes it look the part under the lights.

A body made for gigs

At just 38 mm deep, the Stage is far thinner than a classical. The solid mahogany body is chambered to keep the weight down and let it resonate, then capped with solid spruce under the flamed maple veneer. The result is comfortable to wear on a strap for a whole night and far less prone to feedback than a full-depth acoustic when the monitors are loud.

Fusion neck

Cordoba's Fusion profile is slimmer and narrower than a traditional nylon-string neck, with a 48 mm nut instead of the usual 52. Chords and barre shapes fall under the hand much like they do on a steel-string, and 22 frets with a soft cutaway leave the top of the neck wide open for lead lines.

Stage pickup system

Instead of relying on an undersaddle pickup alone, the Stage system adds body sensors that pick up the guitar's woody resonance. A body blend control mixes the two, so you can go from a crisp, defined piezo sound to something warmer and more acoustic. Master volume and EQ sit on the upper bout, and it runs on a single 9V battery.

The details

A pau ferro headplate with a mother-of-pearl Arches logo, black and gold tuners and a bone nut and compensated saddle finish it off. It comes strung with Savarez Alliance/Cantiga high-tension strings. A gig bag is not included.
