Yamaha NTX1 Nylon-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar - Black is the nylon-string for players coming across from electric or steel-string: a 48mm nut, a radiused fingerboard and a slim body with SYSTEM73 electronics on board. The solid Sitka spruce top is the reason it sounds like a real classical and not a compromise. Black gloss finish with black and white binding.

A neck that steel-string hands understand

The nut is 48mm with 10.6mm string spacing, narrower than a traditional classical, and the walnut fingerboard has an R600mm radius instead of being dead flat. Scale is the standard 650mm. The nato neck is finished matt, so it doesn't drag when you shift position.

Slim NTX body

At 80 to 90mm deep and 384mm wide, the NTX body is much thinner than a full classical, and it sits against you like an electric. Body length is 490mm, total length 1026mm. It's built for standing up on stage as much as sitting with it.

Solid Sitka spruce top

The top is solid Sitka spruce over nato or okume back and sides, with an ebony and walnut bridge and no bridge pins, classical style. The mahogany and padauk soundhole inlay is the only decoration. Tuners are chrome with matt black shafts.

SYSTEM73 preamp with a tuner

SYSTEM73 gives you volume, a three-band EQ and an adjustable mid frequency control, which is the one that tames nylon-string feedback on a loud stage. The tuner is built in, and output is a standard line out. Strap buttons are fitted, so it goes straight onto a strap.
