Yamaha YSL254CFS Student Trombone — Carbon Slide, Silver

The YSL254CFS rethinks the student trombone from the slide out. Its outer slide is carbon-fibre-reinforced rather than solid brass, trimming roughly a quarter off the weight of a traditional horn — and on a trombone, where every gram hangs off an outstretched left arm, that changes everything about how long a young player can practise. The silver-plated body against the black carbon slide looks superb on stage, too.
