Yamaha FGX830C Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar - Natural is the plug-in dreadnought for players who want rosewood back and sides and a full 650mm scale without stepping into four figures. A solid spruce top, a SYSTEM66 preamp with a tuner and a Natural gloss finish make it a working guitar for the duo gig or the church stage.

Solid spruce top, rosewood back and sides

The solid spruce top is braced with a scalloped X pattern so it is light where it needs to move and firm where it needs to hold. Rosewood back and sides add low-end weight and sustain to the dreadnought's natural volume. The body is gloss with cream binding, an abalone soundhole inlay ringed in black and white and a tortoise-pattern pickguard.

Dreadnought cutaway, 650mm scale

The body is 412mm wide, 505mm long and 100mm to 118mm deep, giving the low end and headroom a dreadnought is chosen for. The cutaway opens the top frets for lead lines, and the 650mm scale with a total length of 1038mm gives firm tension for strumming.

SYSTEM66 preamp with onboard tuner

SYSTEM66 provides volume, a 3-band EQ, a mid-frequency sweep and a built-in tuner, so you can shape the sound and tune between songs without touching a pedal. The line out plugs into any acoustic amp, DI or mixer.

Rosewood fingerboard, TM29T tuners

The nato neck has a matt finish and a rosewood fingerboard at a 400mm radius, with a rosewood bridge. The 43mm urea nut carries 11mm string spacing, which suits players who mix fingerstyle with a pick. TM29T die-cast chrome tuners and black ABS pins with white dots finish it, strung with Yamaha FS50BT or D'Addario XT.
