Yamaha FSX820C Concert Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar - Natural is the gigging version of the FS820: the same solid spruce top and mahogany body, with a cutaway and a SYSTEM66 preamp added so it goes straight into a PA. The Natural gloss finish keeps it classic on stage.

Solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides

A solid spruce top over mahogany back and sides gives the clarity and balance a concert body is known for, with scalloped bracing letting the top breathe. The gloss body has cream binding, a black and white soundhole inlay and a tortoise-pattern pickguard.

Concert cutaway, 634mm scale

The body is 380mm wide, 497mm long and between 90mm and 110mm deep, small enough to hold comfortably for a full set. The cutaway clears the way to the upper frets, and the 634mm scale keeps the tension easy on the fretting hand. Total length is 1021mm.

SYSTEM66 preamp: EQ, tuner, mid control

SYSTEM66 puts volume, 3-band EQ, a tuner and a sweepable mid-frequency control on the side of the guitar, so feedback and boxiness can be dealt with from the stage rather than from the desk. The line out connects to any acoustic amp or DI.

Walnut fingerboard on a matt nato neck

The nato neck is matt-finished with a walnut fingerboard at a 400mm radius and a walnut bridge. The nut is 43mm urea with 10mm string spacing, TM29T die-cast chrome tuners handle tuning, and it ships with Yamaha FS50BT or D'Addario XT strings.
