Solid spruce top, scalloped bracing

The top is solid spruce, not laminate, so it loosens up and gets louder the more you play it. Yamaha's scalloped bracing shaves weight off the braces so the top can move freely while still holding string tension. Back and sides are nato/okume, with black body binding and a black and white soundhole ring.

Concert cutaway body, 634mm scale

The concert body measures 380mm across and 90 to 110mm deep, with a 497mm body length and 1021mm overall. The cutaway lets you get up the neck for lead lines and higher chord voicings without fighting the body. The 634mm scale keeps string tension a touch lighter than a full 650mm dreadnought, which is kinder on the fretting hand.

SYSTEM66 preamp with a tuner

SYSTEM66 gives you volume, a three-band EQ and an adjustable mid frequency control, so you can dial out feedback or boominess on stage. The built-in tuner means you tune silently between songs. Output is a standard line out.

Nato neck, walnut fingerboard

The nato neck has a matt finish that stays quick under the hand, with a walnut fingerboard on an R400mm radius and a walnut bridge with black ABS white-dot pins. The 43mm nut and 10mm string spacing suit both flatpicking and fingerstyle. Die-cast chrome TM29T tuners hold pitch, and the nut and saddle are urea.
