Yamaha JR2 3/4-Size Acoustic Guitar - Tobacco Brown Sunburst is the small FG: a mini dreadnought on a 540mm scale for kids, travel and the back seat of the car. It has a spruce top and a full-width 43mm nut, so what a player learns on it carries straight over to a full-size guitar. Tobacco Brown Sunburst gloss finish over mahogany-pattern back and sides.

Mini dreadnought, 540mm scale

The body is 317mm wide, 389mm long and 80 to 90mm deep, with a total length of 845mm, so it fits a small player or an overhead locker. The 540mm scale means less string tension and shorter reaches between frets, which is what makes it easy for younger hands. The nut is 43mm with 10mm string spacing, the same width as a full-size Yamaha FS.

Spruce top, tortoise pickguard

A spruce top with black binding and a black soundhole ring sits over ultra-thin-film mahogany-pattern back and sides. The bridge is rosewood, the fingerboard rosewood or walnut on an R400mm radius, with covered chrome tuners and black ABS white-dot pins. No electronics, just an acoustic.
