Yamaha LL6 ARE Acoustic-Electric Guitar - Dark Tinted pairs a solid Engelmann spruce top with A.R.E. treatment and rosewood back and sides in Yamaha's round-shoulder L Series dreadnought. The pitch is simple: a serious acoustic with a hidden passive pickup, at a price that leaves money for a good amp. Natural gloss over cream and black binding, with an abalone soundhole ring.

A.R.E. treated solid spruce, rosewood body

Yamaha's A.R.E. process ages the solid Engelmann spruce top before the guitar is built, so it opens up from day one instead of after years of playing. Rosewood back and sides add depth under the spruce. Body width is 415mm, depth 100 to 125mm.

Dreadnought size, softer shoulders

At 513mm long in the body and 1046mm overall it's a full dreadnought, but the rounded upper bout makes it easier to hold seated. Scale length is 650mm. The 44mm nut and 11mm string spacing are wider than a standard folk guitar, which suits fingerpickers and players with bigger hands.

Laminated neck, gold hardware

The neck is five-ply mahogany and rosewood, a construction chosen for resisting twist and seasonal movement. It's finished matt with a rosewood fingerboard on an R400mm radius. Die-cast gold TM29G tuners, a rosewood bridge, black ABS pins with white dots and a tortoise-pattern pickguard finish it off.

Passive SRT piezo, line out only

There's no preamp panel and no controls: the SRT piezo runs straight to a line out jack, so the guitar stays visually untouched. Pair it with an acoustic amp or an outboard preamp for volume and EQ. Elixir NANOWEB 80/20 Bronze light strings fitted.
