The Yamaha AC1M Concert Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar - Vintage Natural is the entry into the A Series: a solid Sitka spruce top over scalloped bracing, mahogany back and sides and a proper stage preamp, on a concert body with a cutaway. It is the guitar for the player who gigs and wants the A Series neck and pickup without the all-solid price. Vintage Natural gloss finish.

Solid Sitka spruce top with scalloped bracing

The solid Sitka spruce top is braced with scalloped braces, shaved down so the top can move more and respond to a lighter touch. Mahogany back and sides keep the midrange focused and the guitar clear in a band mix. Mahogany and cream binding, a tortoise-pattern pickguard and a black and white rosette finish the body.

SYSTEM72 preamp with tuner and mid sweep

The SYSTEM72 offers volume, three-band EQ and a mid-frequency control, so you can find and cut the exact frequency that is feeding back or clouding the mix rather than guessing. The tuner is built in, and a single line out goes to your DI or amp. Elixir Nanoweb 80/20 bronze light strings are fitted from new.

Concert cutaway, 650mm scale

The concert body measures 380mm wide, 497mm long and 100 to 120mm deep, which keeps it close to the body on a strap while the 650mm scale holds full tension for a strong attack. The cutaway gives clean access above the twelfth fret. Total length is 1038mm.

Three-ply mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard

The neck is African mahogany in three plies, a construction that resists twisting through humidity changes, with a matt finish. The rosewood fingerboard has a 400mm radius, a 43mm nut and 11mm string spacing, and the rosewood bridge carries a urea saddle and black ABS pins. Die-cast chrome TM29T tuners keep it in pitch.

Set up and ready

The urea nut and saddle are dressed, the 650mm scale is intonated and the SYSTEM72 output is tested. Set up in-store by Guitar World Australia's techs before it ships to you.
