Yamaha CSF-TA TransAcoustic Parlour Guitar - Vintage Natural is a short-scale parlour that produces its own reverb and chorus, heard straight from the body with nothing plugged in. It is the guitar for songwriters who want an inspiring sound on the couch or in a hotel room, and the Vintage Natural gloss finish gives it an older look than its build.

TransAcoustic SYSTEM70: reverb and chorus, no amp

The SYSTEM70 TransAcoustic electronics add reverb and chorus to the acoustic sound itself, so the room seems to grow around you as you play unplugged. Controls are a reverb knob, a chorus knob and a line-out volume that doubles as the TA on and off switch. Plug the line out into an amp or a desk and the effects come along.

Solid Sitka spruce top, mahogany body

The top is solid Sitka spruce over mahogany back and sides, so the unplugged sound holds its own before any effect is switched on. The gloss body carries black and white binding and an abalone and black soundhole inlay, with no pickguard to interrupt the top.

600mm scale, 340mm-wide parlour

The short-scale parlour body is 340mm wide, 450mm long and 85mm to 105mm deep, with a total length of 940mm. A 600mm scale lowers string tension and shortens the reach between frets, which makes it easy on the hands for long writing sessions.

Rosewood fingerboard, 43mm nut

The nato neck is matt-finished with a rosewood fingerboard at a 400mm radius and a rosewood bridge. The 43mm urea nut has 11mm string spacing, the saddle is urea, and die-cast chrome tuners with black ABS pins finish it off. It ships with Elixir NANOWEB 80/20 Bronze Light strings.
