Yamaha TAG1 Element Gen2 TransAcoustic Dreadnought Guitar - Natural Gloss

Yamaha TAG1 Element Gen2 TransAcoustic Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar is for the songwriter who wants reverb and chorus around an unplugged acoustic, with no amp or pedal in the room. Turn a knob on the upper bout and the guitar itself adds the space. It comes in a Natural Gloss finish over a solid spruce top.

Solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides

A solid spruce top drives the sound, with mahogany back and sides behind it. The dreadnought body is 412 mm across and 100 to 125 mm deep, so strummers get a big, full push from every chord. Black binding frames the gloss body and a transparent pickguard leaves the spruce on show.

Reverb and chorus built into the guitar

The SYSTEM70 TransAcoustic electronics put reverb and chorus on the guitar with nothing else needed. The controls are just Reverb, Chorus and Line out Vol, so there is no menu to learn. When you do want to plug in, the LINE OUT jack sends the guitar to a PA or an interface. Power comes from AA batteries.

Mahogany neck, walnut fingerboard

The mahogany neck has a matte finish that stays quick under the hand, topped with a walnut fingerboard on a 400 mm radius. Scale length is 650 mm and the nut is 44 mm wide with 11 mm string spacing, which gives fingerpickers room to work without turning chords into a stretch.

Die-cast tuners, walnut bridge, Elixir strings

Die-cast chrome tuners hold pitch through a long set, and the walnut bridge carries a urea saddle and black ABS pins, with a urea nut at the other end. The soundhole is ringed with a blue ripple inlay that marks it out as a TransAcoustic. It leaves the factory strung with Elixir NANOWEB 80/20 bronze light strings.
