Yamaha TAS1 Element Gen2 TransAcoustic Concert Acoustic Guitar puts reverb and chorus inside a concert-sized body, for the player who wants a guitar that sits comfortably on the lap and still sounds like it is in a big room. No amp, no pedals, just the guitar. It wears a Natural Gloss finish over a solid spruce top.

Concert body, solid spruce top

The concert body is 380 mm across and 90 to 115 mm deep, a noticeably smaller and shallower shape than a dreadnought that is easier to hold seated and suits fingerpicking. The solid spruce top is paired with mahogany back and sides. Black binding, a transparent pickguard and a gloss body finish complete the look.

Reverb and chorus built into the guitar

SYSTEM70 TransAcoustic electronics generate reverb and chorus that you hear straight from the body, with no cable required. Three controls cover it: Reverb, Chorus and Line out Vol. A LINE OUT jack is there for the nights you do plug into a PA or interface, and the system runs on AA batteries.

Mahogany neck, walnut fingerboard

The mahogany neck has a matte finish that stays smooth under the palm and carries a walnut fingerboard with a 400 mm radius. Scale length is 650 mm, the nut is 44 mm wide and string spacing is 11 mm, so fingerstyle players get clean separation between strings.

Die-cast tuners, walnut bridge, Elixir strings

Die-cast chrome tuners keep it in pitch, and the walnut bridge is fitted with a urea saddle and black ABS pins, with a urea nut up top. The soundhole carries a blue ripple inlay, the TransAcoustic signature. It comes strung with Elixir NANOWEB 80/20 bronze light strings.
