Yamaha EAD10 Electronic Acoustic Drum Module is for the drummer who loves their acoustic kit but wants electronic sounds, effects and easy recording without changing a single head. One sensor clamps to the bass drum and the whole kit goes hybrid. Practise with it, track with it, run it live.

One sensor on the bass drum hoop

The sensor unit is 78 mm deep and pairs a kick trigger with a stereo microphone in the same housing. The mic hears the whole kit, the trigger fires the kick sounds, and both feed the 138 mm deep main unit. The trigger input is stereo, left and right each carrying a trigger signal, so you are not limited to the kick.

757 voices and 32 MB for your own samples

There are 757 built-in voices to layer over or replace what the mic hears. Load your own 16-bit WAV files into 32 MB of wave memory, up to 1.75 MB for a mono sample or 3.5 MB for stereo. A snare with a clap under it or a kick that hits like a record is a few button presses away.

21 mic effects and 10 trigger effects

The mic channel gets 21 effects and the trigger channel gets 10, saved as scenes so a whole sound change is one recall. Reverb on the room mic, gated snare, crushed kick: build it once and step through scenes between songs.

Click, foot switch and the iOS app

The click track has accents plus quarter, eighth, sixteenth and eighth-note triplet subdivisions, so it covers most practice routines. A standard stereo phone jack takes a foot switch for hands-free scene changes. The free iOS app records audio and video of your playing and shares it straight from the phone.
