The Yamaha TAG1 C is the flagship of Yamaha's TransAcoustic Gen 2 lineup — and arguably one of the most genuinely innovative acoustic guitars ever made. Real reverb, delay, chorus and Bluetooth audio streaming, all generated directly from the guitar's body with no amplifier, no headphones, no pedals. A solid Sitka spruce dreadnought with cutaway for upper-fret access, USB-rechargeable electronics, and a sound experience that rewrites what an acoustic guitar can do.
The TAG1 C uses Yamaha's flagship SYSTEM78 actuator technology to vibrate the guitar's soundboard from inside, creating studio-quality reverb, delay and chorus directly through the body's resonance. There's not a single speaker involved — the entire effect comes from the wood itself. Open chords bloom into shimmering hall-style reverb, fingerpicked passages echo with rhythmic delay, and there's an unmistakable depth and dimension you cannot get from any pedal or amp.
Stream backing tracks, songs you're learning, or your favourite playlist from your phone or tablet directly through the guitar's body via Bluetooth. The acoustic body becomes its own speaker — perfect for jamming along to tracks during practice or playing back demos and reference recordings while you work on parts.
Solid Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and a Venetian cutaway for full upper-fret access. Authentic dreadnought projection with bold, room-filling acoustic tone — even before the TransAcoustic system gets involved. Yamaha's Gen 2 deeper body design adds extra resonance and volume over the original TransAcoustic series.
No more battery hunting — the TAG1 C runs on internal USB rechargeable batteries with a USB-C adaptor included. Charge it like your phone and forget about it. A line output also lets you connect to amps, PA systems or audio interfaces for live work and direct recording.
Open-gear chrome tuning machines, mahogany neck with walnut fingerboard, precision Yamaha fretwork, and Elixir NANOWEB Light strings factory-fitted. The 25 9/16" scale length and 1 3/4" nut width sit comfortably for a wide range of playing styles. Includes a structured Yamaha hard bag.
Whether you're a singer-songwriter chasing atmospheric textures, a fingerstyle player who wants room ambience without an amp, or a gigging musician needing a road-friendly acoustic with built-in effects, the TAG1 C delivers an experience no traditional acoustic can match. Set up in-store by Guitar World Australia's techs before it ships.
