Yamaha TAS3 C TransAcoustic Concert Cutaway Guitar - Natural Gloss

Yamaha TAS3 C TransAcoustic Concert Cutaway Guitar - Natural Gloss is the concert-size TransAcoustic: reverb, chorus, delay, a looper and Bluetooth audio built into an all-solid cutaway body small enough to sit close. It's Yamaha's second-generation TransAcoustic, for players who want the effects without the dreadnought bulk. Solid Sitka spruce A.R.E. top over solid mahogany in a Natural Gloss finish.

Concert cutaway body, 380mm wide

The concert body is 380mm across, 90 to 115mm deep and 497mm long, with a 1031mm overall length. It sits closer to the player than a dreadnought and the cutaway keeps the top frets reachable. Scale is a full 650mm, so string tension and feel match a big-body guitar.

Reverb, chorus and delay from the body

The TransAcoustic SYSTEM76 gives you reverb, chorus and delay that you hear from the guitar itself with nothing plugged in. A line out with its own volume control sends the same effects to a PA or an interface. Practise with ambience in a small room, or record a finished sound straight off the jack.

Looper, tap sensor and Bluetooth

Record a loop and play over it, with a tap sensor for controlling the looper from the body of the guitar. Bluetooth audio streams a backing track or a lesson from your phone to the guitar. The lithium-ion battery charges through a magnetic connection.

All solid, A.R.E. treated

The solid Sitka spruce top carries Yamaha's A.R.E. treatment, which gives new spruce the openness of a top that's been played for years. Solid mahogany back and sides, black binding, a transparent pickguard and a blue ripple soundhole inlay. Open-gear champagne-gold tuners.

Mahogany neck, ebony board

The mahogany neck has a matte finish, an ebony fingerboard on an R400mm radius and an ebony bridge with black ABS pins. Nut width is 44mm with 11mm string spacing, good for fingerstyle and open chords alike. Strung with Elixir NANOWEB 80/20 Bronze light.
